VGI Solutions today named Daniel Babeux as Vice President Business Development, Broadband Networks. In this newly created position, Mr. Babeux will be responsible for maintaining current business opportunities in Canada as well as spearheading the introduction of the CPAT^® service in the U.S. marketplace in line with the company's announced strategy of developing new business opportunities in North America.

Before joining VGI Solutions, Mr. Babeux served as Vice President and General Manager at Sunrise Telecom, Broadband Division. Prior to that, he spent 12 years at COGECO Cable, where he held various operational and management leadership positions, most recently as Project Director – Corporate Engineering, where he helped launch value-added digital TV services in the divisions. As Vice President Business Development, Broadband Networks, at VGI Solutions, Mr. Babeux will oversee Market Strategies and Planning for broadband network applications and services in VGI Solutions’ Telecommunications Division.

Mr. Babeux is a cable TV industry veteran with over 26 years of experience and a member of the Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers (SCTE).
